Heaphy Riesling Nelson 2023

Heaphy Riesling is from some of the oldest Riesling vines in New Zealand, this is a zesty, aromatic wine full of lime, red apple and bright stone fruit, with a generous mouthfeel and refreshing lift. Meet the Producer Heaphy Vineyard is a small, quality-focused winery in the north-west corner of New Zealand’s South Island, in the Nelson Tasman region. The vineyards benefit from long sunshine hours and cooling sea breezes, producing wines that are vibrant, characterful and true to their coastal terroir. Production Sourced from 30- to 50-year-old unirrigated vines rooted in Moutere clay soils. Grapes are harvested in late February, then crushed to tank, settled and racked, before resting on fine lees for eight months to enhance complexity and texture. Tasting Notes A fragrant nose of fresh ginger, cardamom and jasmine leads to a rich palate of juicy lime, red apple and stone fruit. Generous in body with lifted aromatics, finishing with texture and zest. A wine that feels like lounging in the sun. Food Match Perfect with fish tacos and zesty lime, or chicken and cauliflower wings with blue cheese sauce. Grape Variety Riesling

Spier Seaward Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Seaward grapes are selected from South Africa's top coastal areas, growing in a narrow band close to the cold Atlantic ocean and the temperate waters of False Bay. Such terroir provides what you might call a perfect storm - with barely any human intervention needed to produce outstanding harvests for our winemakers, every year. Dryland, trellised vines with an average age of 15 years yielded the grapes for this wine. Moderate summers with low night temperatures and cold winters create a perfect micro-climate for Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Spier is one of South Africa's oldest wine farms with a recorded winemaking history dating back to 1692. The winemaking team is committed to crafting wines truly expressive of their terroir, with minimal interference. While rooted in this heritage, they have a vibrant and conscious energy. Their Growing for Good initiatives empower communities to make positive social and environmental change. Ranging from art and entrepreneurship to regenerative farming and ecological restoration, these projects and partnerships are creating a ripple effect of lasting and meaningful impact.
