Isle Of Harris Gin

Isle of Harris Gin is one of the most distinctive and celebrated gins to emerge from Scotland in recent years, crafted at the Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert on the Outer Hebrides. Made with nine carefully chosen botanicals, including hand-harvested Outer Hebridean Sugar Kelp seaweed, it is bottled at 45% ABV, delivering a beautifully balanced maritime gin of genuine character and elegance. A gin as elemental and captivating as the island that inspired it. Why You'll Love It Isle of Harris Gin is defined by its sense of place. The inclusion of hand-harvested Sugar Kelp from the surrounding Atlantic waters gives it a dry, flinty maritime quality that sets it apart from any other gin on the market. Juniper and citrus lead the way, with complex floral and herbal notes developing alongside the distinctive kelp character. Smooth, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, it is equally at home in a classic G&T or enjoyed neat over ice. The striking bottle, designed to evoke the elemental landscape of Harris, makes it one of the most gifted gins in the world. Distillery & Botanicals The Isle of Harris Distillery was founded in 2015 in Tarbert, Isle of Harris, with a mission to create a sustainable social distillery at the heart of the island community. The gin is made with nine botanicals: Outer Hebridean Sugar Kelp seaweed, Macedonian Juniper Berries, English Coriander Seed, Cubebs / Javan Pepper, Bitter Orange Peel, Angelica Root, Cassia Bark, Orris Root, and Liquorice Root. Bottled at 45% ABV. Tasting Notes The nose is well-defined and inviting, with juniper and pine needles immediately followed by fresh citrus notes of bitter orange, lime, and grapefruit. Complex floral notes of rose and wallflowers develop alongside crushed green herbs, coriander, and gooseberry, all underpinned by mixed spice. Sugar Kelp adds richness and a dry maritime depth. On the palate, refreshing and beautifully balanced, with bitter juniper and pine meeting sweet mango, grapefruit, and orange

Monterey Helford Gin

This Cornish gin is made only a few miles from us here at Drink Finder. Under the shade of the Monterey Pines on the banks of the Helford River here in Cornwall. These majestic trees are native to the coast of California and particularly in Monterey County but have become familiar across the Cornish coast where they stand tall over the native coppiced oaks of the Helford. After two years of development distilling with different botanicals and techniques they have cracked it. Two years well spent we say. Made using an organic base spirit and the finest botanicals, this has made a premium gin with a premium flavour profile. This beautiful presentation has come about from when the Monterey Pines were planted here in Cornwall, back in the 20's and 30's - the time of The Great Gatsby, prohibition and Art Deco movement. Awards: Trophy Winner - Best London Dry 2020 - IWSC 98/100 Outstanding! Our Perfect Pour: Keep it classy, simple and Cornish. Lots of ice, wedge of citrus fruit and Navas Cornish Tonic Water.
