Kavalan King Car Whisky Conductor
A new addition to the Kavalan range of single malts that is named after the company that owns it, King Car. This new expression has a fuller flavour and stronger strength than normal at 46% ABV. An excellently clean, fresh and fruity single malt. A touch of papaya, banana and green apple, to name just a few. Pleasantly floral, delicate and complex with depths and multilayered aromas, fragrances and nuances waiting to be discovered by each individual and connoisseur! Palate: Sweet, rich, vanilla, banana but also coconut, a slight pleasant bitterness balancing the sweetness. A mouthfilling dram, more complex and sophisticated than you will ever imagine. Langatun 2016 Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt 50cl
This has pleasant spicy sherry aromas, fine oak and a hint of lavender. The palate is sherry spice with nice pink peppery notes that are matched with salted caramel. The finish is long lasting with typical sherry nuances. The most important country of production for Pedro Ximénez is Spain. Especially in the sunny south of Spain this grape variety is widely cultivated. Andalusia is a world leader in the production of the sweet berries. After a pre-ageing in a Chardonnay cask, which gives the whisky a filigree sweetness with beautiful vanilla and wood notes, this special single malt whisky is transferred for a few more months for the special finish in a Pedro Ximenez American oak sherry cask to give the whisky its additional fine aromas. The pleasantly spicy sherry notes combine perfectly with the beautiful sweet vanilla and wood notes of the Chardonnay cask and complete the whisky harmoniously. A long-lasting finish with the typical sherry notes of Pedro Ximenez remains on the palate. The bottling is limited to approximately 490 bottles.
