The Kilkerran name (from the Gaelic for Campbeltown) represents the rebirth of whisky making in this historic region. The whisky is aged for 12 years in a combination of 70% bourbon casks and 30% sherry casks, then bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration to preserve the full character and mouthfeel. Tasting Notes The nose reveals sweet confectionery with Turkish delight, pear drops, and marzipan, along with hints of subtle peat smoke like toasted marshmallows by a campfire. Peats Beast Cask Strength 52.1%

This is the cask strength version of Peat's Beast which is more intense and a bit of a handul. On the nose is has honey notes with vanilla spice, then the peat smoke comes in, back by sea spray and charcoal. The palate is powerful to start then revealing, banana , treacle and mocha backed by a spicy finale of ginger and cinnamon and the ever growing smokiness.
