La Battistina Nuovo Quadro Gavi del Comune di Gavi 2024

La Battistina Nuovo Quadro Gavi del Comune di Gavi is a fine, single-estate Gavi di Gavi DOCG from Piedmont, Italy. Produced from 100% Cortese grapes grown on chalky, mineral-rich soils, this wine offers the hallmark freshness, elegance and purity that has made Gavi one of Italy's most admired white wines. Why You'll Love It This is premium Gavi di Gavi from a prestigious single vineyard, showcasing the elegance and mineral complexity that makes this wine style so celebrated. Crafted by Azienda Agricola La Battistina, renowned for producing top-quality Gavi, the Nuovo Quadro vineyard delivers exceptional fruit with remarkable purity and finesse. With extended lees contact for added texture and complexity, this is Piedmont's most famous white wine at its finest. Vineyard & Winemaking Sourced from the Nuovo Quadro single vineyard on the La Battistina estate, where hand-harvested Cortese grapes from mature vines are carefully selected. The wine is fermented in small stainless-steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatic purity, then aged on lees for up to 6 months to build texture and complexity while maintaining its vibrant character. Tasting Notes Fresh and delicate on the nose with aromas of citrus, pear and lime. The palate is vibrant and textured, showing layers of ripe stone fruit, crisp acidity and mineral finesse, balanced by a long, pure finish with a subtle saline edge that reflects the chalky terroir. Perfect Pairings A versatile Italian white, perfect as an aperitif or paired with seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, fresh salads, and light pasta dishes. Its clean acidity also makes it an ideal match for sushi, oysters, and delicate vegetarian dishes. Grape Variety 100% Cortese Classification Gavi di Gavi DOCG (Gavi del Comune di Gavi)
