Le Petit Saint Jacques Blanc Organic 2025

"There is nothing small about our Petit Saint Jacques! This Pays d’Oc white is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve purity of fruit. Aromatic on the attack, with a focus on freshness and zesty citrus fruit. There is a roundness on the palate of white peaches and cassia flowers and then, our signature long, mineral finish."

Strange Kompanjie The Tea Leaf Chenin Blanc 2023

Strange Kompanjie The Tea Leaf is a naturally fermented, old bush vine white wine that captures the wild, sun-soaked spirit of South Africa's Western Cape. Sourced from vineyards where Chenin Blanc , Grenache Gris, and Marsanne vines grow intertwined with indigenous rooibos plants, this is a wine of genuine character, combining vibrant fruit, delicate spice, and a bright mineral freshness that is entirely its own. Meet the Producer Strange Kompanjie Unlimited is a playful, innovative collective of winemakers exploring the quirks of the Cape's lesser-known grape varieties. Embracing natural fermentation and minimal intervention, they let the vineyard speak, producing wines of real personality and a strong sense of place in the Western Cape . Vineyard and Production Grapes are harvested in the cool early hours of the morning and hand-selected at the winery before undergoing natural fermentation. The wine is aged in older 600-litre French oak barrels to add gentle texture without overpowering the fruit, then coarse-filtered above 1 micron and bottled without fining to preserve purity and character. The presence of indigenous rooibos plants growing among the vines contributes a subtle aromatic complexity unique to this terroir. Tasting Notes Aromas of ripe citrus and peach mingle with savoury, gently nutty notes. The palate is firm yet silky, with a sandy texture reflective of the vineyard soils, leading to a long, lightly honeyed finish of real distinction. Grape Variety Chenin Blanc, Grenache Gris, Marsanne Perfect Pairings A versatile food wine, perfect with simply cooked fish, scallops, salt and pepper squid, seafood pasta, risotto, rich salads, or sushi. About the Region The Western Cape is home to some of South Africa's most exciting old bush vine vineyards, producing wines of extraordinary depth and individuality.
