Les Coteaux Cotes du Rhone Village Boutinot 2023
Domaine Boutinot Les Coteaux Côtes du Rhône Villages is a classic red blend from the southern Rhône, crafted from the very best Grenache and Syrah grapes. Each year, Boutinot selects fruit from top Côtes du Rhône Villages vineyards, enriched with parcels from the highly regarded villages of Séguret and Sablet, to create a wine of exceptional quality and value. Why You'll Love It This is Côtes du Rhône Villages at its finest—smooth, fruit-driven, and beautifully spiced. Unlike many producers who reserve their best fruit for single-village bottlings, Boutinot's philosophy is to craft the finest possible Villages blend, incorporating grapes from prestigious sites like Séguret and Sablet. The result is a wine that punches well above its price point, offering outstanding quality and drinkability. Vineyard & Production Sourced from top Côtes du Rhône Villages vineyards, including parcels from the highly regarded villages of Séguret and Sablet, known for their outstanding terroir. The wine is mostly unoaked, though 15% is part-aged for up to 20 months in French oak barrels, adding richness and complexity without overpowering the vibrant fruit character. Tasting Notes This elegant Côtes du Rhône Villages opens with brambly dark fruit, sweet spice, and subtle oak. Notes of star anise, cinnamon and wild berry add depth, while a supple texture and long, smooth finish highlight the wine's class and balance. Perfect Pairings A versatile food wine, perfect with grilled meats, sausages and mash, shepherd's pie, roasted lamb, puy lentils, mushroom ragoût, rustic pizza, or charcuterie boards. Also excellent with barbecued meats and hearty casseroles. Grape Varieties. Grenache and Syrah
Marcelino Rioja Crianza 2021
Marcelino Rioja Crianza is a bright, modern Rioja from Bodegas Campoameno, crafted from Tempranillo grown at altitude in carefully managed vineyards between 300 and 650 metres. Smooth, fruit-forward and gently spiced with a classic touch of oak, this is Rioja Crianza at its most approachable and enjoyable. Why You'll Love It Bodegas Campoameno works with vineyards at altitude across Rioja, where the combination of elevation, temperature variation and native yeasts produces wines of real purity and local character. Marcelino is their everyday expression, a Crianza that delivers genuine Rioja quality without the premium price tag. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with eight days maceration, this is a wine that lets the fruit do the talking, with oak playing a supporting role rather than dominating the glass.
