Lochlea Ploughing Edition First Crop Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The fourth and final in the annual series of limited seasonal bottlings, Lochlea ‘Ploughing Edition’ (First Crop) reflects the season of winter on the farm, when they start to plough the fields in preparation for sowing the barley seed in spring. They’ve created a warming, smoky version of their signature Lochlea whisky by using a combination of ex-Islay barrels and peated quarter casks and have chosen an icy blue label to reflect the bitterly cold and frosty Ayrshire winters.
The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve Single Malt
Sweet aromas of pear and red apple meet a fabulous tropical twist of ripe bananas in syrup. The palate is host to rich caramel toffee notes which are followed by mandarin orange, vanilla and honeydew melon. This is well balanced and exceptionally smooth. The Glenlivet has always been about moving forward and note remaining still. From establishing the distillery in a very remote valley in 1824 to continuously setting new standards. This producer are now going beyond the rugged Scottish Highlands to discover new influences to complement this smooth and fruity house style.
