Louis Cheze Caroline Saint-Joseph 2022

The family property was taken over in 1978 by Louis Chèze. The Domaine Louis Chèze is located on the top of the hillside of the commune of Limony, on the right bank of the Rhône, 60 Kms south of Lyon, in the heart of the northern Côtes du Rhône vineyard area. Monsieur Chèze started the adventure with 1 Ha in Saint-Joseph and a few vines he rented. Today, the estate represents 45 Ha in the prestigious appellations such as Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Côte-Rôtie as well as well-situated vineyards in Vins de Pays districts. Since the year 2000, he is one of the forerunners with two winegrower friends reviving the fabulous Roman terroir of Seyssuel. Louis' determination, curiosity and rigour are of the utmost importance when it comes to monitoring the vineyard and making the wines. Each vintage is an in-depth search to capture the quintessence of the terroirs. Numerous vintages, each with their own differences will delight the wine and food lover in you.

Zuccardi Jose Malbec 2019

At Zuccardi it is clear that quality starts in the vineyards. Through extensive research and the use of technology such as electromagnetic mapping of soil, Zuccardi are gaining a better understanding of the 'terroir' and how to match soils wit the most appropriate grape variety. The quality at Zuccardi is ever improving as these wines find their place. Every part of viticulture at Zuccardi, from irrigation techniques, trellising and training, pruning and harvesting is constantly reviewed and improve upon whilst always remains true to their principles of sustainability. Intense dark red colour, Jose Zuccardi is a complex wine on the nose, giving notes such as ripe black and red fruit aromas with subtle spicy notes. Firm and mature tannins that give structure to the wine, but fresh and elegant due to its great acidity. This Malbec gives a wonderful long finish. Food Pairing: Enjoy with red meats, pasta and young cheeses.
