Louis Cheze Viognier 2024
The family property was taken over in 1978 by Louis Cheze. The Domaine Louis Cheze is located on the top of the hillside of the commune of Limony, on the right bank of the Rhone, 60 Kms south of Lyon, in the heart of the northern Cotes du Rhone vineyard area. Monsieur Cheze started the adventure with 1 Ha in Saint-Joseph and a few vines he rented. Today, the estate represents 45 Ha in the prestigious appellations such as Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Cote-Rotie as well as well-situated vineyards in Vins de Pays districts. Since the year 2000, he is one of the forerunners with two winegrower friends reviving the fabulous Roman terroir of Seyssuel. Louis' determination, curiosity and rigour are of the utmost importance when it comes to monitoring the vineyard and making the wines. Each vintage is a in-depth search to capture the quintessence of the terroirs. Numerous vintages, each with their own differences will delight the wine and food lover in you.
Papagiannakos Assyrtiko 2024
Domaine Papagiannakos Assyrtiko is a crisp, characterful white from the sun-drenched Attic peninsula — just 30km from Athens, where limestone soils and the cooling influence of the Aegean Sea produce a wine of bright citrus fruit, chalky minerality, and bracing freshness. Assyrtiko is Greece's most celebrated white grape, and this is a textbook example of what it can do outside of Santorini. Why You'll Love It Founded in 1919, Domaine Papagiannakos has spent over a century mastering the unique terroir of the Mesogaia plain in Attica. Their approach combines traditional Greek varieties with modern, precise winemaking — and the results speak for themselves. Unoaked, lees-aged for texture, and matured in bottle for up to a year before release, this is a wine of genuine depth and ageing potential that still drinks beautifully young. A brilliant introduction to Greek white wine. Vineyard & Production Produced from 100% Assyrtiko grown on unirrigated limestone soils at around 100 metres altitude in north-east Attica. Grapes are harvested at the end of August and fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures (16–18°C), with a short period on fine lees to add texture. No oak is used, preserving the wine's natural freshness and varietal purity. Matured in bottle for up to a year before release. Tasting Notes Floral aromas of citrus blossom, mandarin, and lime on the nose. The palate is zesty and textured — crisp citrus fruit layered with chalky minerality and a hint of salinity, giving freshness, balance, and a lively, lingering finish. Perfect Pairings A natural partner for seafood and Mediterranean dishes. Excellent with griddled swordfish, grilled prawns, seafood pasta, and roast belly pork. Also superb on its own as a refreshing aperitif. The Blend Assyrtiko 100%
