MacNair's Exploration Rum Jamaica Unpeated Rum
Sourced from high, low and medium ester spirit, this release was initially filled to a mixture of American and French oak at 86%, the rum was left to mature for 30 months at each ester level. The spirit was then reduced to 69% and re-filled to a similar cohort of oak casks to complete its maturation journey. This has been expertly blended by Billy Walker and his 50 years in the industry. A golden sunrise presence. The nose is bursting with tropical fruits, vanilla and orchard fruits, with golden syrup, strawberry coulis and butterscotch. The palate has layers of honey, pineapple and plantains with dried banana chips, grapefruit and cinnamon spice.
Rum Explorer Australia Beenleigh Artisan Distillers 5 Year Old Rum
First of all, the nose offers wooden and vanilla flavours, with notes of cedar, before opening up to an expression of flowers (like the iris) and notes of liquorice, honey, cocoa and cinnamon. The palate is wide, with a good length, and silky tannins. Chateau de Breuil, a real flavour explorer, has selected great rums over the years, produced according to tradition with respect for quality passed down through generations. They all come from the best local distilleries, renowned in their countries of origin. Distilled as small limited series, they will be snapped up.
