From 60-year-old vines on Comblanchien limestone. Glossy and generous up front, then opulent, sweet fruit on the mid-palate, where more new oak is apparent. Supported by an attractive, dry, salty freshness.
SAINT AUBIN Compendium Domaine Joseph Colin 2021
(for the US market this is labeled as ‘Mes 7 Terroirs’). A cooler and more floral-suffused nose reflects notes of green apple, lemon-lime and a hint of orange peel. The sleeker though not denser flavors offer more evident minerality and excellent definition on the youthfully austere, moderately dry and balanced finale. This should drink well early but also with a few years of keeping.
