MEURSAULT 1er Cru Poruzot Dessus Domaine Rémi Jobard 2021
(from .50 ha parcel). Once again the nose is quite firmly reduced and in this case revealing nothing. By contrast, there is terrific intensity to the concentrated big-bodied yet beautifully well-defined flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the powerful, youthfully austere and borderline rustic finale. This is built-to-age and a wine that’s going to require at least some forbearance.
Volnay 1er cru Santenots, Buisson-Charles 2021
This Santenots was picked at full maturity. The wine is a brilliant ruby colour with an intensely floral nose. On the palate it is fresh and inviting wine has an elegant body and long, fine, finish.
