MEURSAULT Chevalières Domaine Rémi Jobard 2022
(from vines planted in 1940). Attractively fresh and bright aromas of hazelnut, pear and apple compote are trimmed in soft floral nuances. There is fine volume to the gorgeously textured and vibrant medium weight flavors that exude evident minerality on the slightly more complex and youthfully austere finale. This is really quite stylish and well-worth checking out.
MOREY SAINT DENIS 1er Cru Genavrières Domaine Lignier-Michelot 2020
(from a .30 ha parcel). An exotically spiced nose features aromas of black cherry, lavender, violet and a whiff of jasmine tea. There is excellent punch to the beautifully textured flavors that exude a beguiling inner mouth perfume while the lingering, chiseled and youthfully austere finish exhibits impressive persistence. Lovely and very Genavrières.
