Mollydooker Enchanted Path Shiraz Cabernet 2021

This wine celebrates Mollydooker's journey in life and their partnership in winemaking. Just as they use their separate abilities to enhance their winemaking, they blend the separate characters of these two classic varieties to create a wine that is powerful, opulent, elegant and seamless. The 2017 Enchanted Path displays an inky deep colour with dense hues. The journey begins with fragrant bright red fruit on the nose, followed by deeper tones of blackberry and plum jam on the palate. Well guided by precise tannins, these flavours will fully entertain your senses, giving the wine phenomenal length. The captivating interplay between the Shiraz and Cabernet provides a sophisticated mix of plum and mocha, walking beside raspberry and clove. The 2017 Enchanted Path exercises both elegance and complexity with a well-balanced finish. When you join the Enchanted Path and the Carnival of Love together, the two labels form one beautiful continuous love story. The grapes were grown on the Gateway and Prime vineyards in McLaren Vale. Barrel fermented and matured in 97% American and 3% French oak using 85% new and 15% one year old barrels. Volnay Premier Cru, Domaine Clos de la Chapelle 2022

Resurrected by life-long Burgundy lover Mark O’Connell in 2011 and our dear friend Pierre Meurgey, Domaine Clos de la Chapelle is headquartered at the Chateau de Bligny, owned by Pierre and no less than Dominique Lafon. The talent behind the new Domaine is considerable, and the wines are already getting rave reviews from the likes of Allen Meadows (Burghound), Neal Martin & Jasper Morris. We were so impressed by the wines after tasting the 2022s and were surprised to hear that they had little presence in the UK, so it is a real pleasure to offer these wines. "Deep colour, dusty nose of red currant, briar, just ripe hedgerow strawberries, sweet red peppers, red plum skin, paprika and quarried stone. Sappy, crunchy, peppery, herbaceous-edged palate, cranberry and sarsaparilla dominant, with lean, savoury tannins." Tom Harrow, Head Wine Guru
