Vineyard & Production Grapes are sourced from alluvial soils with gravel covered with calcium carbonate at shallow depth, caliche and calcareous sands in Gualtallary, Uco Valley. The 2015 vintage was marked by unique conditions, with higher than average winter rainfall helping to increase the natural water table. Spring brought higher than normal temperatures and precipitation, with favourable budding conditions and moderate temperatures in November and December. The harvest produced very elegant wines with great ageing potential. Grape movement is by gravity, with fermentation in concrete vats using native yeasts and maceration of 20-25 days. The wine is aged in barrels and concrete vats, then bottled unfiltered.
