Peter Lehmann The Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz 2020

Peter Lehmann's The Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz is an icon of the Barossa, embodying the region's generosity and depth in a uniquely Australian style. Rich, refined, and celebratory, this wine is the perfect meeting point of power and elegance, crafted from premium Shiraz and finished with the traditional méthode champenoise. With 36 months on lees and a touch of vintage Port as expedition liqueur, this is sparkling Shiraz at its finest. Why You'll Love It This is iconic Australian sparkling Shiraz from one of the Barossa's most respected producers. Crafted using the traditional méthode champenoise with 36 months on lees, it develops remarkable complexity and fine bubbles. Sourced from four long-term growers in the renowned Ebenezer and Light Pass districts, with 12 months in French oak and a unique addition of The King Vintage Port as expedition liqueur, this wine offers exceptional depth and festive richness. A true celebration wine. Meet the Producer Founded in 1979 by Peter Lehmann, the winery was born out of a promise to support Barossa grape growers during a time of hardship. Today, Peter Lehmann Wines continues that legacy — championing the region's growers, celebrating its heritage, and crafting wines that express the full character and warmth of the Barossa Valley. Production Fruit for The Black Queen is sourced from four long-term growers — Schrapel, Hampel, Gladigau, and Grope — in the renowned Ebenezer and Light Pass districts. Grapes are chosen for their silky tannins and sweet red-berry fruit. After a 10-day fermentation on skins, the wine is pressed, clarified, and matured for 12 months in older French oak hogsheads. The base wine then undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and is aged on yeast lees for 36 months. Upon disgorgement, a small addition of The King Vintage Port as expedition liqueur adds depth and a touch of festive richness. Tasting Notes Deep crimson with red and purple hues, The Black Queen exudes aromas of dark fruits, chocolate,

Veuve Doussot, Rosé Brut NV

A beautifully expressive sparkling rosé with a delicate rose-petal hue and vibrant red fruit aromas. The palate bursts with flavours of strawberry and raspberry, finishing long and fresh. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, with 25% still red wine blended in before the secondary fermentation, this cuvée is aged for 24 months in the cellar before disgorgement, allowing those pure, juicy berry notes to shine through with exceptional clarity and balance. The Joly family has been growing vines in the heart of Champagne for over a century. In the early 1970s, Georges Joly and his sons founded the Veuve Doussot brand in honour of Georges’ grandmother. Today, siblings Stéphan and Sylvie Joly proudly carry on the family’s legacy, upholding the high standards of craftsmanship and quality established by their grandfather, father, and uncles.
