R L Seale's 10 Year Old Rum
R L Seale’s 10 Year Old Rum comes from the highly respected Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, a producer known for its commitment to traditional, additive‑free rum. Richard Seale, the master distiller and blender, created this expression as a showcase of classic Barbadian rum character — a blend of pot‑ and column‑still distillates aged a full 10 years in ex‑bourbon barrels under the island’s warm tropical climate. That long, honest ageing gives it a depth and maturity that has made it a favourite among rum enthusiasts. Its aroma shows rich vanilla, warm oak, caramel and a touch of toasted coconut. On the palate, it offers a smooth, rounded texture with notes of toffee, gentle spice, dried fruit and a subtle roasted character from extended barrel time. The finish is long, warm and elegantly oaked, making it a refined sipping rum that captures the balance and craftsmanship Barbados is known for.
