Rhys Vineyards Alesia Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir 2019
Rhys Alesia displays the sheer charm of the vintage up here in the Santa Cruz mountain; plump yet well-tailored, with sleek tannins, flavours of raspberry and wild cherry, and a note of loamy earth and laurel on the finish. It’s so well-crafted that it should make for delicious drinking right out of the gate, and drink well for another 5-10 years post release.
Savigny-Lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières, Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard 2023
Jean Girard tended these vineyards from 1529, and now Jean-Jacques continues the family heritage. The wine matures for 15 months in barrels, with a portion of new oak adding structure to the smooth, supple fruit
