Roblet Monnot, Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2008
All of Domaine Roblet-Monnot holdings are in Volnay and cover an area spanning 6 hectares. The vineyard turned to bio-dynamic wine making in 1997 and has 12,000 vines per hectare with very low yield of 30-35 hectoliters per hectare These combined factors have transformed the estate into one of the leading sources of wine from these communes.
Sierra Cantabria, Viñedos De Páganos La Nieta 2021
The Sierra Cantabria Viñedos de Páganos La Nieta 2021 is one of Rioja Alavesa’s great single-vineyard wines, from a tiny 1.75-hectare plot in Páganos. Aromas of ripe blackberry, blueberry, and black cherry mingle with violets, graphite, spice, and a touch of cocoa. On the palate it’s plush and concentrated, with polished tannins and a long, mineral-driven finish. The Eguren family, one of Spain’s most respected winemaking dynasties, farms organically and biodynamically. La Nieta is their crown jewel – a modern Rioja that balances intensity with elegance.
