Ron Abuelo 12 Year Old Gran Reserva
The Ron Abuelo 12 is mature and dense. With aromas of ripe, dark fruit like prunes and an almost chamois leather. The palate is pretty much the same as the aromas but comes to a rum soaked raisin Christmas cake like profile with black cherry jam on the finish. This rum has been static aged in ex-Bourbon barrels.
Rum Explorer Trinidad Angostura Distillers 3/5 Year Old Rum
The Madeira cask harmonises the flavours and brings density and aromatic power. Then the Bourbon cask comes and softens the rum in order to balance its structure. At last there's an elegant note of candied orange, that gives depth and roundness. Chateau de Breuil, a real flavour explorer, has selected great rums over the years, produced according to tradition with respect for quality passed down through generations. They all come from the best local distilleries, renowned in their countries of origin. Distilled as small limited series, they will be snapped up.
