Sauvion Les Gravieres du Roy is an expressive, terroir-driven red from Saumur-Champigny, one of the Loire Valley's most celebrated appellations for Cabernet Franc. Vivid, aromatic, and beautifully structured, it delivers the classic character of the Loire in a wine that is both approachable and genuinely compelling. Vineyard & Production Grapes are sourced from clay and limestone sites with gravelly subsoils, hand-harvested to preserve primary fruit aromas. Fermentation is temperature-controlled to retain freshness, with moderate extraction and gentle elevage to achieve a plush, approachable texture while maintaining structural balance and mineral precision. Ageing in American and French oak barrels for 12 months delivers a level of complexity that is well integrated with the rich red fruit.
