American Oak driven, this whisky has a pronounced smoky character followed by sweeter, fruit notes, influenced from European Oak. Refill casks enhance Glenturret's peated new make spirit character, giving a citrus-forward nose that develops into sweet, fruity notes on the palate.
Wire Works Alter Ego Single Malt Whisky
Alter Ego reveals an exciting alternative flavour profile to the house style lead Small Batch Single Malt Whisky which is a lightly peated. This spirit has been distilled with alternative cut points to previous Wire Works whisky releases, bringing richer fruit forward flavour and a different take to its background light peat. Aromas of lemon meringue, sherbet and fresh ginger backed with caramel. The palate shows cream soda, honey, light caramel and a touch of mango.
