Aberargie Single Malt Scotch Whisky emerges as the result of years of quiet dedication, shaped entirely on the distillery’s own Perthshire farmland. Every stage of its creation takes place under one roof, from growing Golden Promise and Laureate barley on the family’s 300‑acre estate to distilling, maturing and bottling on site. This barley‑to‑bottle approach gives Aberargie complete control over character and quality, allowing the whisky to reflect the land it comes from and the people who have nurtured it. First distilled in 2017 and matured in a combination of first‑fill bourbon and sherry casks, the inaugural release marks a significant moment for the distillery: a whisky born from patience, tradition and a deep respect for craft. The whisky opens with a gentle sweetness, offering notes of honeyed barley and soft orchard fruit layered with vanilla from the bourbon casks. The sherry influence brings warmth and depth, adding hints of dried fruit, subtle spice and a rounded richness. On the palate it is elegant and well‑balanced, with a smooth texture that carries flavours of malt, toasted oak and a touch of citrus brightness. The finish is long, refined and quietly confident, capturing the essence of a whisky made without haste and intended for moments worth savouring.
