Amaro Nonino Quintessentia is obtained from the union between Antonio Nonino's ancient recipe and the experience of the Nonino family in the art of distillation. Elegant and balanced, with an extraordinary scent of herbs, this exceptional amaro is ennobled by ÙE Nonino Grape Distillate aged in barriques. Born in Friuli, a borderland and crossroads of several populations and manifold influences - Roman, Arabian, Celtic, Venetian, and Slavic - Amaro Nonino Quintessentia is the result of Nonino alchemic art, enriched by important cultural contaminations and great knowledge of botanical varieties from far and exotic lands. Production & Heritage Crafted in Friuli, Italy, following an ancient family recipe dating back to 1933 when Antonio Nonino first created Amaro Carnia. In 1992, Cristina, Antonella, and Elisabetta Nonino replaced grappa in the family amaro recipe with ÙE Grape Distillate aged in barriques and small casks, creating the modern classic Amaro Nonino Quintessentia. Made from a quintessence of herbs with a portion of ÙE Nonino Grape Distillate aged for minimum 12 months in barriques of Nevers, Limousin, and ex-Sherry small casks.
