Ardbeg has truly outdone itself with Ardcore! This limited edition release from the Islay distillery boasts an intense flavour profile thanks to the use of roasted black malt, intriguingly described on the label as "like biting a spiky ball" – a tasting note we’ve never encountered before. With its punk-inspired livery, it's the perfect accompaniment to some loud music. When nosed, it reveals aromas of tarry ropes, grapefruit zest, toasted bread, menthol, and enduring peat smoke. On the palate, expect anise, further citrus bursts, ash, mint, vanilla pod, and roasted barley. The finish is characterised by salty liquorice, leather, and cedar.
