About this spirit
Equiano Light Rum, like the original Equiano Rum, masterfully combines spirits from Barbados and Mauritius to craft a splendid expression. The Barbadian rum, produced by Foursquare, undergoes light ageing, whereas the Mauritian rum, produced by Gray's, is derived from fresh sugar cane juice. The end result is a vibrantly flavoured spirit that excels in cocktails, particularly Daiquiris. Moreover, the creators of Equiano Rum generously donate 5% of their annual profits to grassroots equality projects. The rum is named in honour of Olaudah Equiano, a freedom fighter who was instrumental in the abolition movement. This spirit boasts flavours of vanilla and green apple, with subtle grassy notes, cinnamon, ginger, and a hint of caramel.
