About this spirit
"For Peat's Sake!" the distillery manager cried, as Peat the maltman put far too much peat into the kiln during malting, causing smoke to billow everywhere... This is an intensely smoky and peaty blended Scotch whisky with an earthy, rich character. On the nose it is rich with peat and earthy smoke coming forward, aromas of charred oak, vanilla, oat biscuits, toffee and sultanas with citrus touches. The palate is full bodied, well rounded and smooth with the same intense earthy smokiness, which is well balanced and lingers for you to enjoy. The finish is long with lingering smoke.
