This limited release is part of the acclaimed Exceptional Cask Selection series and has been matured for 16 years, with 10 years in ex‑Bourbon casks followed by 6 years in ex‑Tawny Port casks. The dual maturation brings together the depth and structure of American oak with the rich, jammy sweetness of seasoned port wood, resulting in a rum of remarkable complexity and balance. On the nose, Mandamus opens with a rush of blackberries, ripe pineapple, tart plum and cherries, layered with hints of cocoa and cedar.
