About this spirit
The exquisite Girvan single grain Scotch, distilled in November 2002, was allowed to mature in a single refill hogshead until September 2022. Independent bottler Douglas Laing unveiled the cask, releasing a limited edition of 230 bottles as part of its Old Particular collection. It presents an enticing aroma featuring layers of honeyed cereal, toasted nuts, buttery oak, fresh vanilla, and subtle hints of woody spice. On the palate, it reveals succulent notes of apricot and plum, accompanied by creamy vanilla, soaked oats, and sponge cake, with a delicate touch of nutmeg emerging. The finish is reminiscent of cooked apple, ginger biscuits, icing sugar, and orange butter.
