The Flora and Fauna series, now regrettably discontinued, featured whiskies each adorned with an illustration of an animal. This particular Inchgower is exceptionally rare. Its nose is quite light and delicate, revealing a zesty tang with sugary citrus notes, hints of stemmy hay, and a gentle breeze stirring barley in a summer field. There are tones of blossom and apple peel complemented by a touch of cocoa. On the palate, it is fresh with hay and petals, balanced by notes of arak and well-integrated tannins. Additionally, some spicy nuances with crystallised stem ginger are present. The finish offers a medium length with a spicy, tangy citrus note.
