About this spirit
The second annual release of the Sowing Edition whisky from Lochlea is a single malt Scotch matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, bottled without chill filtration or added colour. This Lowland whisky, which celebrates spring on the Lochlea farm, is delicate and sweet—perfect for spring sipping. The aroma boasts creamy cereal notes alongside ripe orchard fruit and subtle hints of peach. On the palate, one can discern caramel apples combined with oaky vanilla, woody spices, toasted hazelnuts, and a touch of orange zest. The finish is sweet and lingering, with a hint of allspice.
