This is 100 proof (50% abv) but drinks like it is 86 proof (43% abv) - a sure sign of smoothness and quality. Made from 100% Rye. The 10 year old rye has herbal aromas with a touch of peppermint and vanilla. The palate is warm, spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and sweet with muscovado sugar and dark chocolate. Founded in 2008, WhistlePig is now the most awarded Rye Whiskey maker in the world. They live by a simple ethos: protect what makes Rye Whiskey great, toss out the rest, and then innovate to make it better.
