The Artesa Rioja Viura is a crisp, fresh, unoaked white wine from DOCa Rioja, showcasing the elegance and purity of the Viura grape. Meet the Producer Bodegas Ontañón , a 5th generation family-owned winery in Rioja Baja (now Rioja Oriental), is led by Raquel and Rubén Ontañón. The winery combines traditional winemaking with modern techniques, producing high-quality, approachable wines that express the unique character of the Rioja region. Production Made from 100% Viura grapes, grown at 400 metres above sea level in Rioja Oriental. The average vine age is 20 years, with 80% trellised and 20% bush-trained vines. Soils are clay and stone with some sandy areas. Grapes are crushed and chilled before temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, preserving freshness and varietal character. Tasting Notes A fresh and aromatic Viura with lifted floral and citrus aromas. The palate shows orchard fruits, ripe melon, and zesty acidity, finishing crisp and clean. Food Pairing Enjoy on its own, or with pizza, pasta, Spanish tortilla, or light seafood dishes. Ideal for casual dining or summer gatherings.
