Bacalhôa Terra Boa Tinto is a juicy, approachable Portuguese red that delivers exceptional value for money. Made from a blend of indigenous Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, complemented by a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, it offers ripe fruit, supple tannins, and a generous, easy-drinking style. Meet the producer Bacalhôa, formerly known as Aliança, is one of Portugal’s largest and most progressive wine producers. With 600 hectares of vineyards spread across five regions, Bacalhôa combines modern winemaking with a strong focus on regional character and value-driven wines. Production The grapes are sourced from the Quinta d’Aguiar estate in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Beiras. This 360-hectare property includes 80 hectares planted with Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, thriving in schist soils. Fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel to preserve bright fruit character and freshness. Tasting notes Aromas of ripe bramble fruit, plum, and subtle spice lead into a generous palate filled with fresh red cherry and blackberry leaf notes.
