Casa Ferreirinha Papa Figos Branco is a vibrant white wine from the Douro, crafted from carefully selected grapes grown at 600 metres above sea level in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior. The vineyards, planted on schist soils in either vertical "vinha ao alto" rows or terraced "patamares", benefit from a wide diurnal temperature range that allows slow ripening, producing fruit with excellent flavour intensity while retaining natural acidity. The 2023 vintage experienced careful vineyard management and optimal harvest timing. After hand-harvesting, the grapes were gently crushed and destemmed. The must was settled and racked off its gross lees before undergoing fermentation at controlled temperatures between 16–18ºC for approximately 20 days. Post-fermentation, the wine was matured in stainless steel for five months to preserve its bright fruit character, followed by careful fining and filtration prior to bottling.
