About this wine

Elegant 'Super Tuscan' from the Tuscan estate of Sting and Trudie Styler. Like Sister Moon, this wine is also a Super Tuscan (IGT Toscana) from Stings' Tenuta Il Palagio estate, comprising of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a small quantity of Merlot. It is an intense wine for savouring. Casino delle Vie is named after a property on the estate. Literally it means 'little house by the roads', but a more colloquial interpretation might be 'the muddle of ways', inviting philosophical musings on the paths we take in life ... after a few glasses of wine of course! 90 Points - Wine Spectator (2009 vintage) '13.5% alcohol. Aged in used oak. Subtle and warmly spiced with mellow cherry, plum and blackberry fruit. Some grip here with a mineral, spicy dimension, showing strongly savoury characters.
