This El Enemigo wine has been crafted in partnership with renowned winemaker Alejandro Vigil of Bodega Aleanna, this Bonarda showcases his signature precision and focus on purity of fruit. The wine reflects a deep respect for place, gentle handling in the cellar, and a commitment to expressing Bonarda at its most vibrant and authentic. Vineyards Sourced from the Los Paraísos estate in El Mirador, Rivadavia, the vineyard sits at 650 metres (2,132 ft) elevation. The site is defined by clay and rocky soils that naturally regulate vigour, allowing the vines to produce fruit with concentration, freshness, and fine structure. Winemaking Fermentation takes place with wild yeasts at a controlled maximum temperature of 26°C (79°F) over 15 days, followed by a gentle 15-day infusion with minimal movement to preserve elegance and avoid excessive extraction. The wine is aged for 12 months in large foudres, adding subtle texture while keeping the fruit at the forefront. Tasting Note This Bonarda displays vivid, pure fruit expression with notes of ripe black cherry, plum and fresh violets layered over hints of spice and subtle earthy depth from its foudre maturation. The palate is juicy yet structured, balancing vibrant acidity with supple tannins and a long, lifted finish that highlights the grape’s natural brightness.
