Feuerheerd's Anchor Wine Reserva is an elegant, full-bodied red from the Douro DOC , Portugal , crafted from five traditional Douro varietals including Touriga Nacional and aged for 12 months in barrels previously used for Vintage Port. From one of Portugal's most historic Port houses, founded in 1815, this is a wine of genuine heritage, complexity, and luxurious depth. The key to this Reserva is the ageing: 12 months in barrels previously used for Vintage Port, which imparts a smoother, rounder, and more luxurious texture while allowing the five traditional Douro varietals to express their natural complexity and depth. This is over 200 years of Port house craftsmanship in a single bottle.
