About this wine
Sourced from a 6-hectare plot on the Campogiovanni estate, this Rosso di Montalcino offers a bright, approachable, and early-ripening expression of Sangiovese, showcasing purity, freshness, and elegance. Meet the producer Tenuta Campogiovanni is a sister estate to Agricola San Felice, situated on the southern slopes of Montalcino, combining tradition and modern winemaking to highlight the Sangiovese grape. Production The 6-hectare vineyard, planted in the 1990s at 250–300m altitude on south to southeast-facing slopes, yields naturally expressive grapes. After a 12-day maceration, malolactic fermentation occurs in stainless steel. The wine then matures for 12 months in Slavonian oak botti, followed by 2 months in bottle, producing an elegant and balanced Rosso di Montalcino. Tasting notes Warm and inviting aromas of ripe cherry and blackberry mingle with cedarwood and spice. The palate is rounded with plum and red fruit, balanced by fresh acidity. Fine tannins and subtle spice lead to a long, elegant finish. Food match Pairs beautifully with pasta in meat sauces, mushroom or truffle dishes, pork, or veal. Grape Sangiovese 100%
