This elegant Catalunya Red Blend is a rich, full-bodied wine crafted primarily from Garnacha and Syrah. Deep, complex, and well-structured, it delivers expressive dark fruit flavours with subtle spice, reflecting the exceptional terroir of Catalonia. Vineyard & Terroir Sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Catalunya, the grapes are hand-picked to ensure optimal ripeness. The region’s climate, soils, and careful vineyard management create concentrated, aromatic fruit ideal for producing long-lived, sophisticated red wines. Winemaking & Ageing After harvest, the grapes undergo 2 weeks of skin contact to extract colour, flavour, and tannins. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel under controlled temperatures of 30°C for 7–14 days. The wine is then aged in second-fill French oak barrels for at least 12 months before bottling, followed by a minimum of 12 months in bottle to develop complexity and balance. Tasting Notes Opaque, dark cherry red in colour, this wine shows enticing aromas of forest fruits, particularly blackberry, layered with subtle spice notes. On the palate, it is intense, warm, and full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long, flavourful finish. Food Pairing Serve at 15–16°C. Ideal with fine cuts of red meat, especially when paired with spiced sauces. Aged cheeses also complement the wine, highlighting its fruit character and softening the tannins.
