A bright and approachable Alvarinho, Vila Nova offers vibrant citrus aromas, limey fruit, and textural stone fruit, all balanced by the minerality typical of Vinho Verde. Fresh, lively, and fruit-driven, it provides excellent value compared to its Spanish Albariño counterparts. Meet the producer Casa de Vila Nova, owned by the Lencastre family of aristocratic Portuguese lineage, crafts wines that reflect the unique terroir and traditions of the Sousa sub-region in northern Portugal. Production Grapes are hand-harvested in 20 kg boxes and quickly transported to the winery, where they are destemmed, softly pressed, and fermented in temperature-controlled vats. The Atlantic-influenced soils and microclimate of Vinho Verde give the wine its distinctive freshness and character.
