About this wine
I always enjoy a bottle of Frerejean Frères Blanc de Blancs , and it remains my go-to top-shelf fizz for special occasions. For the whites, I’ve included Alain Chavy’s 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Charmes , which has been showing seriously good form at recent tastings, alongside the stunning 2017 Marienburg Rothenpfad Riesling GG from Clemens Busch , a wine of remarkable precision and depth. Pinot Noir is, of course, a must, and my curveball pick this year is Fromm’s magnificent 2021 Clayvin Vineyard Pinot Noir . The San Leonardo 2016 is performing beautifully right now, so naturally, it had to make the cut. And finally, for something truly distinctive, I’ve chosen Rianie Strydom and Jonathan Maltus’ 2022 IKOYI Red - a wine that excites me more and more every time I taste it. The parcel includes one bottle of each wine.
