The 2021 Figure Libre Chenin Blanc, a pure Chenin Blanc, reveals a shy, closed bouquet with aromas of herbs, lemon oil, spices and grapefruit. Medium to full-bodied and tense on the palate, it’s nicely balanced but a little wrapped up in a firm, seemingly barrel-derived phenolic character.
