Mayfield Gin features a robust incorporation of Sussex Hops at the core of its botanical selection. Originally discovered growing wild in a Sussex hedgerow, the specific variety chosen was later nurtured and cultivated by hop farmer Andrew Hoad. Alongside these hops, the gin includes juniper, orange, lemon, coriander, orris, angelica, and liquorice. The label alludes to the tale of St. Dunstan seizing the Devil by the nose with a pair of tongs in Mayfield, causing the infernal figure to flee and soothe his injured nose in the waters of Tunbridge Wells, the home of MoM Towers.
