The wines of Terres Fidèles are designed to embody the wild spirit of south-western France, crafted from old-vine Grenache, Carignan, Malbec, Cinsault, Viognier, and more. These are authentically made, small-batch wines rooted in character and terroir. Winemaking Though made from an ancient variety, Carignan, the vinification is thoroughly modern. The grapes are destemmed and crushed before fermentation at a controlled temperature of around 23°C. Ageing takes place in tank, with a touch of French oak staves adding complexity and roundness. Tasting Note Juicy, smooth, and mouth-watering, this old-vine Carignan offers hallmark aromas of black cherry and ripe red berries. The palate is vibrant yet rounded, with pure fruit expression lifted by subtle vanilla notes and a supple, lingering finish. Viticulture Mont Rocher Carignan Vieilles Vignes comes from 50-year-old, low-yielding vines rooted in rugged, limestone-rich soils of the sun-drenched foothills of the Pyrénées. Here, the conditions allow Carignan to show its most expressive side, producing wines with purity of fruit and a distinctive goût de terroir . Food Matching A fine companion to slow-cooked casseroles or roast beef. Technical Details Variety : 100% Carignan
