A supple, medium-bodied Rioja, Vega del Rayo Vendimia Seleccionada offers ripe plum and cherry aromas, complemented by gentle oak spice. Smooth, approachable, and perfectly balanced, it showcases the elegance of 100% Tempranillo from Rioja’s best vineyards. Meet the producer Boutinot represents over 50 Spanish wineries, sourcing wines that reflect regional authenticity and quality. Vega del Rayo highlights the vibrant fruit and finesse of vineyards across Rioja. Production Grapes are harvested from 15–20-year-old vines throughout September and early October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 25–30°C with twice-daily pumpovers. After 12 days on the skins, the wine is gently pressed and undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. It is then matured for 6–8 months in a blend of American and French oak barrels to integrate subtle spice and texture. Tasting notes Aromas of ripe plum and cherry.
