Wonderfully aromatic, this gin has been enjoyed for centuries on the Island of Menorca. It was first made for the British Sailors who were stationed on the Island between 1708 and 1802 and is still made in the traditional way, according to the original 18th century recipe. Distilled from wine alcohol, it is infused with fresh juniper berries and a secret blend of herbs known only to the Ponds family who, to this day, make the gin themselves. The aroma shows gentle juniper, light herbal notes and a touch of citrus. On the palate, it offers a smooth, slightly oily texture with balanced juniper, subtle sweetness, hints of fresh herbs and a clean, mellow finish that reflects its distinctive island craftsmanship.
