Ruby Dum from Niepoort is a vibrant, youthful Port wine from the Douro Valley in Portugal. Known as the “twin” of Tawny Dee, Ruby Dum retains a fresh, lively character dominated by red cherries and plums. The wine is aged in large wooden vats in the cool cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, preserving its freshness and bright fruit expression.
Meet the Producer
Niepoort, a historic family-owned producer in the Douro and Porto regions, is celebrated for crafting Ports and Douro wines that combine elegance, concentration, and a true sense of place.
Production
Sourced from low-yielding, old vineyards in the Cima Corgo region, the grapes are predominantly trodden in traditional Lagares before ageing in large wooden vats in the Gaia lodges. Ruby Dum is bottled with an average age of three years, retaining its youthful vibrancy.

Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
