Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Treana is one of five brands of Hope Family Wines, a California winery located in Paso Robles and run by the Hope family for 30 years. The estate's vineyards are rooted in the rich limestone soil of Templeton Gap, the coolest area of Paso Robles, and are planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Grenache, from which the winery produces premium wines with excellent value. First made in 1996, this is the quintessential Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon. This bold and distinctive wine captures the three fundamental elements of the area: the warm California sun, ocean breezes, and the unique Central Coast terroir, with its diverse soils. In the glass, Treana Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a deep, intense, dark ruby color and a rich, expressive aromatic profile with notes of blackberry, black cherry, and small dark berries, interspersed with hints of vanilla and coffee, leather, and toasted oak. On the palate, it is smooth and powerful, concentrated and warm. It is rich and elegant with firm, ripe tannins and a balanced acidity. It is round, full-bodied, and has a long, complex, and persistent finish. It is the ideal wine for grilled meats, roast pork belly, or lamb stew.
